The apartment is within the main building of the Prospect House estate which holds a stunning position perched on the cliff top overlooking the whole of Start Bay - the views are fantastic. It sits adjacent to and within a few minutes' walk of Hallsands Beach.

Inside, the far reaching views are visible from every part of the bespoke, well-equipped and open plan living, dining and kitchen area. Externally, the sheltered communal garden to the rear has a heated outdoor pool area (available between May and September) and a full size tennis court. Prospect House also has a large communal garden at the front of the building with a dining area and benches overlooking the whole bay.

Prospect House sits directly by the South West Coast Path which leads to the unspoilt beach of Hallsands. Further along the path is the village of Beesands with the excellent local inn and a shellfish beach bar, Britannia, both of which offer fantastic food. The walk from Prospect House to Beesands takes approximately 20 minutes, otherwise it's a seven to ten minute drive.

There are many towns and villages to explore in the area that are ideal for day trips. The include the market town of Kingsbridge and the picturesque town of Salcombe which offer many water-based activities and beaches to enjoy. Torcross and Slapton are approximately four miles away. The historic estuary town of Dartmouth is reached by a short drive along the spectacular coastal road. There you will find a great selection of boutiques, cafes and high quality restaurants offering the catch of the day.

No. 7 Prospect House

Beautiful, unspoilt location-cannot be bettered. Accommodation was comfortable, clean and very welcoming. The swimming pool was a great extra added.

7 Prospect House, Hallsands

As usual we got to the end of our weeks stay and had just settled into a routine not only with the new home but with each other. If we ate at the apartment we would eat earlyish and then go down onto the beach. We took the fishing rod and fished from the beach. We also walked the coastal path north to the cricketers pub but each time never quite made it before it got dark. One evening we walked out towards the light house and had our pudding on a look out point half way. During the day we visited Slapton Sands Nature Reserve, Wembury for rock pooling, Salcombe to hire a little boat to go and visit Kingsbridge. We took part in the Frogmore Fete and the children attempted the greasy pole. We ate an abundance of ice cream and all decided on our favourite flavours. We ate at Dick and Wills in town and couldn't fault the food or service. The location is relaxing and the flavours just perfect. We dug a big hole at the beach in south Milton and shelter from the rain at Bigbury Sands. We got a parking space at lannacombe beach on the second attempt and watched mainly a surfer wade through the mountain of sea weed. We built islands out of sand and redirected the flow of water coming down the hill on to the beach. We found caves on east portlemouth beach and dreamt about buying a big house that edged the waters. We watched the air and water display from the RNLI in the harbour and then the fireworks up at cliff house. We have holidayed in south hams every year since our eldest son was 6 months. It captures the real British holiday with food, fun and exploring. We love to get lost as we find the best beaches and cafes that way. We found parking more of a challenge this year but used the park and ride. What a wonderful place.
