Description

Surrounded by the stunning views of the glorious Devonshire countryside is Oakwood Lodge. This is the perfect destination for a family or group of friends looking to sample the simpler way of life.

Inside, the lodge has a bright and airy living, kitchen and dining area with beautiful views over the rolling hills. During the colder months you can cosy up beside the log burner and when the sun is shining, you can step out onto the decked terrace. There are three bedrooms, and the master bedroom has its own open plan en-suite shower room.

Outside, you’ll find a private decked terrace, again showcasing those wonderful rural views. This is the perfect space whether you want to enjoy an alfresco meal or to unwind in the soothing hot tub.

Located just outside the charming village of Cockwood, Portmile Lodges are conveniently set just off the A379. The village is home to two traditional pubs and a leisurely stroll along the estuary will take you to the pretty village of Starcross. If you fancy a spot of shopping or a delicious meal out, the Cathedral city of Exeter is just a 20 minute drive away. Also, the golden sands and sand dunes at Dawlish Warren are just a 5 minute drive away.

Wonderful place!

Was moved to Oakwood last minute following a fault in another lodge we'd booked through bluechip and I'm so pleased we were! Had a fantastic time. The lodge was positioned with beautiful views catching the last sun of the day- perfect for an evening in the hottub after a long day exploring the local area. Was very clean, well equipped and had everything we could have wished for. The hot tub was pure luxury and completely made our holiday! Wouldn't hesitate to return!

Oakwood - Dawlish

We had a fantastic time at Oakwood lodge. The lodge was lovely with fantastic views and we all enjoyed the hot tub!! Thanks again to the property owner who greeted us and provided spa towels for the hot tub and helped us.

Lovely lodge

The lodge was lovely, clean and well equipped. The view from the decking area was lovely, of open countryside and chickens, ducks and a farm dog in the small holding adjacent to the site. The nearest pub, in the village of Cockwood, called the Anchor, was not really suitable to walk to, as is along quite a busy road, however, the pub was lovely, very oldy worldy with good food and real ale selections available. Would recommend and would stop again.
