If you’re looking for a secluded stretch of sand during a beach holiday in Dawlish, look no further than Coryton Cove to the east of the town. Corton Cove is one of the quieter beaches in the area, and if you find yourselves in search of safe bathing away from the madding crowd then this is a treasure. The first thing you'll notice about this beach is how sheltered it is, so expect a real suntrap with a quieter feel than some of its neighbours.
This sandy beach was once known as Gentlemen’s Cove, and offers a row of colourful beach huts, easy access and toilets – everything you need for a quiet day by the sea. If you happen to glance out at the right time during your day on this gorgeous Dawlish beach you may even catch sight of some passing dolphins. A seasonal dog ban is also enforced.
