Description

Every inch the traditional Dart cottage, Lake Victoria has been lovingly refurbished to an excellent standard, and is now bursting with contemporary colour and light.

Boltholes in Dartmouth seldom come cuter than this and the location is nigh on perfect, situated as it is on a quiet residential street, opposite the market square centred around which are excellent gastro pubs, cafes and independent shops, not to mention a quality fishmongers, butchers and an artesian bakery!

The cottage is dressed in a welcoming and light hearted coastal theme with muted shore shades and local art works. The living room and dining area are delightful and perfectly complemented by the funky kitchen, which has bags of character and is fully fitted with all mod cons.

For visitors to Dartmouth who, like most, want to park up and forget about the car for a long weekend or more, Lake Victoria Cottage is perfectly situated for short strolls on the level to the harbour side and River Dart promenade, where you can access all manner of more refined modes of transport such as those offered by The Dart Steam Railway and Paddle Boat Company.

Pretty cottage

We've had a lovely 5 days in your pretty cottage, it's very comfortable and very well equipped. I am sure we will return and stay for longer next time. It is ideally situated to all of the shops and harbour.

Lovely stay...

Had a lovely stay in Dartmouth. We particularly enjoyed swimming at Sugary Cove and getting the river taxi back into Dartmouth. The Cherub Inn is dog friendly with lovely pub food.

Excellent location...

Excellent location of the cottage in a relatively quite side street off the main through-fall of shops, pubs etc. Lovely clean cottage with all the mod cons.

Fabulous place...

The cottage is set in a fabulous location, that is great for walking along the coastal paths. The Dolphin around the corner is a nice little local with live music on a Friday night.
