There’s something for everyone at Dartmouth’s D’art Gallery, as it exhibits a huge variety of styles, mediums and subjects of painting. Ten years have seen D’art Gallery become one of the South West’s most important contemporary galleries, and the husband and wife team who run it passionately seek new and unusual talent to showcase. There are four exhibitions held throughout the season, and visitors can expect to peruse 80 pieces during any visit.
If you enjoy a diverse selection of art and the chance to admire a patchwork of techniques and paintings you’ll love this waterside gallery in picturesque Dartmouth. In fact, it’s one of those galleries that’s great fun even for those who know nothing about art. D’art Gallery shows work by a set of regular gallery artists alongside the latest from up and coming artists.
The owners search for new talent year after year to showcase the very best and keep the collections fresh. It’s always exciting to see an artist’s first exhibition, so pop along and see the latest discoveries while you’re in the area. D’art Gallery presents carvings and sculptures as well as paintings, and it offers a framing service for when you spot that picture you just can’t imagine your living room without. D’art Gallery is closed on Tuesdays.
