With a picturesque setting in a former Bovey Tracey mill, The Devon Guild of Craftsmen is all about showcasing local talent and making arts and crafts accessible to all. The guild is open all year round, and it’s home to regular exhibitions, a shop and offers all kinds of opportunities to learn more about crafts.
A set of contemporary craftmakers create inspiring pieces from materials connected to the local area (both natural and recycled) throughout the year, and the exhibitions change regularly so there’s always something new to see.
The shop offers a wide range of contemporary and more traditional craft and design items, including blown glass, all kinds of jewellery, stunning ceramics and much more. There’s also plenty of art to choose from if you’re thinking about starting your own collection, and the expert staff are always happy to help answer any questions before you buy.
The building is accessible for the disabled and those with babies, so it’s a welcoming space that encourages all who visit to take time out and discover a range of craft with a modern twist.
