Fabulous holiday at River Garden Cottage

My family and I (two adults and two teenage boys) had a fabulous stay at River Garden Cottage. The cottage and location could not be faulted! The cottage was beautiful and kitted out to a very high standard of comfort and convenience, being well equipped, from loo rolls to washing up liquid etc. Everything you needed was provided. The owners were charming and very helpful and the cottage was charming. We had a great stay and the beds were seriously comfortable, I slept like a baby! We also enjoyed the little garden with its tranquil position by the river, it was perfect for relaxing with a drink at the end of the day and beautifully maintained. We will definitely recommend River Garden Cottage.

Fabulous Cottage in a Great Location

We could not have been happier with our beautiful holiday cottage. The booking process was straight forward and problem free. On arrival we found some beautiful bread, local butter, cheese and everything needed to make tea/coffee had been left for us, which was much appreciated after a long journey. We were delighted with the standard and cleanliness of the cottage. It is located in the centre of Buckfastleigh, which was very convenient for getting to beaches, Paignton Zoo, Torquay, Dartmouth, Plymouth and Exeter for days out with our two children. The cottage had everything we needed including wi-fi and lovely TV/DVD player to keep the children (and husband) amused. We were impressed by the comfortable beds and the thought that had gone into the finish of the property. We were almost disappointed that the weather wasn't cool enough to take advantage of the wood burning stove. The only slight negative is that I would have ideally liked a washing machine but we knew there wasn't one before we booked. In summary, this is a gorgeous comfortable cosy cottage, which exceeded our expectations. We can't wait to visit again.

Lovely Cottage

We had a great time at the cottage. There was lots to do in the area but it was lovely to return to a snug cottage in the evening after a busy day. My youngest son loved it just for the towel elephant on his bed on arrival!
