Description

Rockend is a modern ground floor apartment situated in a traditional cottage in the pretty fishing town of Brixham.

Internally, the apartment offers a light and airy open plan living, kitchen and dining area that has been stylishly furnished to a high standard throughout. Externally, the property benefits from a courtyard garden that can be accessed from both bedrooms.

The Brixham harbourside is a short walk away and is flanked by a selection of family run restaurants offering fresh fish and the finest of local produce.  For a more casual sample of the local catch, head to one of the harbourside shops offering oysters and fresh shellfish, or for the less adventurous, a hearty portion of fish and chips.

From the harbour, a short walk along the coastal path leads to a selection of beaches and coves, as well as the ever popular seawater swimming pool at Shoalstone. Torquay is within easy reach and is one of the most popular holiday destinations in the South West. Dotted around the harbour there are plenty of bars and cafes where you can sit and simply watch the world go by.

Those looking to entertain the family should head to Paignton, home to a fine selection of attractions including Paignton Zoo, the UK’s 3rd largest zoo; the Paignton to Dartmouth steam railway and Quaywest waterpark.

holiday at Rockend Cottage Brixham

My husband, son and partner, grandson and little Harvey the dog have just returned from a week at Rockend Cottage. Son and family stayed for the weekend the rest of us had a lovely week. Weather was very kind. Apartment perfect and in a perfect position for walking to the Harbour and shops. What a wonderful surprise the dog friendliness we received was no matter where we went our little dog was welcome. All in all a great week will certainly visit again in the not to distant future.

Rockend

We had a great week at Rockend. The apartment is all newly decorated and has everything you could possibly need. It is a 5 minute stroll into Brixham Harbour and is in a quiet location with the added bonus of a car parking space! Enjoy!!

Good time in Brixham

Rockend is situated for a ten minute walk to the harbour where boat trips abound to Dartmouth, Paignton and Torquay. Also available by sea, road or rail is a trip to Agatha Christie's holiday home at Greenway, not to be missed. Restaurants and tea-houses are many and operated by friendly people. We were surprised by how dog friendly Brixham was and it certainly made our holiday more enjoyable. A beautiful part of Devon there are so many places to visit it is impossible not to have a happy holiday. Thank you, Blue Chip.

Lovely stay at Rockend

We had a wonderful stay at Rockend. Comfortable, clean, well appointed accommodation. Within walking distance from the harbour. Lots to see and do. Very dog friendly. No need to use the car. Go everywhere by bus or boat (weather permitting). Marley our dog loved it. She said we will definitely be coming here again.

Great Mini Break

We stayed at Rock End in Brixham. It was a great little base for a few days while visiting the South Hams, Exeter and Dartmoor. The flat has almost everything you need for a few days away (no hairdryer).

Rockend - Brixham

Very nice apartment ideally situated for a gentle stroll to Brixham or to drive further afield to Torquay, Paignton etc apartment has pretty much everything you need but parking could be a problem. A quite tricky blind dip and drop takes you to the car park but the space allocated to Rockend is not suitable for any type of car. If you are as lucky as we were you could use any of the other parking spaces as they were generally not being used but if not most other parking is either only one hour or permit holders only which would be a problem. A solution if all else fails is a 3 day pass (£20) or weekly pass (£33) in the harbour car park which is a 5 minute stroll away and can be used in other council run car parks. Worth noting the car park does charge 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Overall though a very nice week, and good wi-fi

Another lovely stay at Rockend

This was our second stay at Rockend. We had a lovely time again. The accommodation is spot on, and only a short walk from the harbour. Lots of choice on boat trips. The Round Robin from Paignton is a must. We've done it three times so far! The walk to Berry Head is great for dogs. There is so much to see and do. We couldn't fit it all in, so we will have to come again. And we will be staying at Rockend! We had a very tired dog at the end of the week, but she had a great time and so did we.
