High Hopes Brixham South Devon

If you want superb harbour views and to be within minutes walk to the shops and restaurants.... then this is the place. The apartment is clean, comfortable, well equipped and very nicely presented. The steep winding steps down to the apartment are exactly that, steep and winding, but they add to the charm of the property as did the resident seagull nesting on the roof. Reading the guest book is a must as previous guests recommended places to eat, we were not disappointed:- No.15,The Poopdeck and Old Market Hall in Brixham all served excellent cuisine. The booking system and pre-holiday information were really good and staff very helpful and friendly. Will definately recommend to friends & family and use again myself. Had a fabulous break.

High Hopes

This is the second time we have been to High Hopes Brixham, it is just right for us, it overlooks the harbour and all day there is things happening, I have been looking for similar places but as yet can't find any place that looks directly over the street and harbour, my daughter is disabled and this is perfect for her she sits in the bay window watching everything going on.

High Hopes

Our holiday apartment was wonderfully positioned to enjoy the glorious views of Brixham inner harbour. The area has lots to do, crabbing in the harbour and enjoying the antics of the baboons at Paignton Zoo, to name two. A great holiday spot.

High Hopes

Me and my husband and two teenage girls stayed at high hopes for a week in June 2012, although a little difficult to find initially once we did find it the flat it was amazing, and the view over the harbour was a pleasure to wake up to every morning.

High Hopes

Despite some interesting steps which form the access to this property it is really well appointed and a wonderful base from which to 'people watch' and access both Brixham and the surrounding areas. We had a really good holiday and in particular the crab fishing which was suprising as we visited with two teenage girls!

Great views from a modern comfortable holiday apartment

We stayed at High Hopes for a 4 day weekend break. We arrived at night in the dark, and found out that the arrival instructions were very accurate. High Street is very narrow indeed but we did manage to reverse the car back out after unloading, our parking sensors screaming like mad all the way! The view as we opened the garden door to the property was spectacular, being uninterrupted across the lit up harbour from a great height. The challenge was the steps to the apartment. Although described as steep, they are more akin to those inside a lighthouse and even with the provided rail, quite tricky to navigate when carrying any luggage. Take a torch and be careful. That achieved the apartment itself is really excellent. Nicely decorated, spacious and very well equipped, with almost as good a view over the harbour from the comfy couch in front of the bay window. Everything we needed was supplied, and the heating, lighting and hot water all worked very well. Made for a really nice base for the weekend, Brixham itself being charming with plenty to see and plenty of good cafes, restaurants and pubs.

A short break

We stayed at high hopes for 3 nights over new year. The info in regards to the location received from blue chip were spot on & we found it no problem. The only downside was the unloading/loading of the car, we parked in the Central car park which is about 5mins walk & had to make a few trips. The property is accessed by a set of steep narrow stone steps & it's a good job we had rucksacks & not a case as we would have struggled. The property is in an excellent location & the lounge looks directly into the harbour great views. It's a good place & suited our needs, I think it's becoming in need of a little tlc but otherwise ok. Plenty of space for the 2 of us & the dog loved people watching out the lounge window. There is a washing machine & dishwasher we didn't use them as ate out all the time. Good little property.
