Brixham is one of those resorts where you’ll soon learn the real beauty spots through word of mouth, and Churston Cove is one of the town’s hidden gems. This small, sandy cove is tucked amidst picturesque wooded hills and cliffs, and is a great spot for a quiet day away from the masses. With stunning scenery and natural protection from any wind – Churston Cove makes for a great day during family beach holidays in Brixham.
The waters are safe for swimming, and the beach welcomes dogs all year round – so it’s a good choice for those on dog-friendly holidays. There's parking available around half a mile’s walk from the cove, and this beach is unsuitable for disabled access.
You’ll need to make your way down a steep path that’s pretty long to reach the beach, but if you take your time and don’t have too much to carry it’ll be well worth the journey once you find the secluded stretch of sand. This is one of those English Riviera beaches that has clear waters too, so if you fancy an idyllic beach with beautiful scenery then they don’t come much more perfect than Churston.
