Close to the beautiful Fishcombe Cove, Brixham Battery is one of the town’s most fascinating and historic family attractions. First used as a Battery in 1586, the site has played roles in several wars since and guided tours are conducted around the Battery Gardens throughout the year.
As well as its historical significance, Brixham Battery is a unique environmental site. With stunning panoramic views of the surrounding coastline, the area is one of the best vantage points in Brixham for those just happy to stop for awhile and look out to sea. A museum stands at the site where military memorabilia can be seen and visitors can learn the secrets of the battery’s past.
