The Red Barn - near Barnstable

Stayed first week August 2014. Lovely property, very clean and cared for by the owner who lives adjacent but is "invisible" and leaves you to it. Dog friendly I understand though we don't have one and the property wasn't "doggy" for us non-doggies if you follow me! Quiet and secluded but 30 mins drive to great beaches and amenities. Would stay here again.

The Redbarn, Barnstaple

A return visit did not disappoint. Such a lovely place in a peaceful spot but easy to get to main town, beaches and attractions. Invisible owners who offer support if needed provide a very comfortable stay. Would highly recommend this property!

A perfect getaway

Had a fabulous 3 nights at the Red Barn. It is a gorgeous house with friendly owners. The house Is well equipped for a comfortable stay and I was pleasantly surprised to find small touches like a cafetière and tea pot in the kitchen. The house is less than half a mile from the Tarka Trail allowing easy access to long bike rides and walks away from busy roads with great views. There are a number of nice beaches only a short drive.

Relaxing place to stay

We spent a week in The Red Barn in February. The house was very warm all the time with the added bonus of a log burning stove and plenty of wood. It felt very spacious and there was plenty of room for two of us and our dog; it would be fine for four people. Everything in the house was good quality and very clean. I should imagine that the house would be great in the summer when you can open all the doors. A short drive to some great walking on the coast path too.

Quality breaks

This is the first time we have booked via Blue Chip and judging on the quality of the property we stayed in, the "Red Barn" near Barnstaple, we can only say we found it excellent. From the location, the furnishings through to the quality and quantity of utensils and crockery. It was as if the owners are using the property themselves and every need is catered for. Loved the wood burning fire and the patio doors leading from each of the 2 bedrooms and the living area. Cannot praise more highly for a short or even longer break.

Excellent choice!

Our stay at the Red Barn exceeded our expectations, the photos don't do it justice, the accommodation is at a very high standard with beautiful country views yet only a 10 minute drive to the nearest beach with others just slightly along the coastal road. The owner is very welcoming but also invisible during your stay! I would defiantly like to return here for future holidays in North Devon, I couldn't fault it, excellent,
