4 Coastguards

The house was very good in a beautiful setting. It was very close to the beach with stunning views. The overall quality of the house and fixtures was very good. We had superb holiday and would definitely go there again. I found your website excellent and will always use it when we want a holiday in your areas.

4 Coastguards

Coastguards is an ultra modern block of 4 apartments in it's own grounds. We stayed in No 4 which was tastefully decorated in the most up to date style, with lovely views out to sea, and the lovely Burgh Island. Fantastic!!

4 Coastguards

Coastguards is ideally located a very short (couple of minutes) walk to Burgh Island and Bigbury beach. It benefits from a lounge and balcony upstairs which boasts an amazing view of the Burgh Island hotel and the beautiful coastline. We were lucky enough to be staying at the property during a full moon and a clear night, which made the experience even more magical. The property itself is very light, has three good size bedrooms, a well designed and modern living room/kitchen with all amenities, and a washer & dryer which are essential if you have children and are staying more than a couple of days! The close proximity of Coastguards to the beach means you can easily pop back for anything when you wish in just a few minutes - very convenient. The Bigbury beach is constantly changing due to the tide ebbing and flowing from two sides and the water tractor that takes you to the Burgh Island hotel is often essential if you want to walk up to the top of the island itself (well worth it for fantastic views).Highly recommended as a location and holiday property.

Refreshing Spring break

We took advantage of an out of season discount to rent a larger than necessary house - which turned out to be a very good decision. 4 Coastguards is almost on the beach, although there is a car-park in between. The car-park remained empty for most of the week we were there although I imagine it is packed in summer so the atmosphere would be different. But the location is fantastic - with perfect views from the sofa or the balcony of the bay and of Burgh Island. The furnishings of this house are high quality and everything was clean and well-looked-after. All expected utensils and equipment were provided and we were able to feel completely at home for the whole week. The contact I had before arrival and at the end of our stay was very friendly and efficient - very helpful. All correspondence was efficient and useful. I would definitely recommend. The only disadvantage of this property is the lack of mobile signal or landline. Not a big deal in fact and wifi was good, but we noticed this comment many times in the visitor book.
