The North Devon Beer Festival takes place in Barnstaple each May, and with all beers supplied by local microbreweries it’s a popular way to sample the very best of north Devon’s beers and ciders (well when in Rome…). Don’t worry if you’re no expert on beers and ales, there’s always a selection of locally produced food to enjoy as well as live music so it’s a great day out for all.
The event is free to enter, so you can choose to browse at your leisure and have a wander around, and if you do decide to try one of the many beers you can buy a wristband and pick your favourite. The choice may be a tricky one though, as there are always more than 30 locally brewed ales and beers to try, and that’s before the range of ciders. Whether you enjoy the festival with friends or pop by to soak up the atmosphere and sample the food as a family, the North Devon Beer Festival is one of the friendliest events in north Devon.
Held at Barnstaple’s Pannier Market, the festival is a relaxed day out and always attracts an eclectic crowd from all walks of life. There’s always live entertainment to add to the fun, and we guarantee you’ll end up staying for far longer than you planned to.
