Description

Park View Lodge is a one-bedroom barn conversion, perfect for an escape for two. With a contemporary, open plan design, the living and dining space makes a unique space to unwind in between those days out on the north Devon coast. Attached yet very private, this home from home is all about spending time together in style. A staircase leads from the living space to the stylish mezzanine, where you can sit back on the reclining massage chair and just be.

The beamed ceilings, stained glass window and sky light give the living space a bright, airy feel, and underfloor heating adds a cosy touch. Three steps lead down to the kitchen, where you can cook a masterpiece in comfort thanks to the remote-controlled Velux window.

Step outside to dine al fresco at the bistro table, and just opposite the lodge you’ll find a huge decked garden set across three levels, just for you. If you’re bringing your dog along, this is the perfect space for him to stretch his legs in between walkies, and the space is perfect for those lazy days spent sat in the sun with a book. You’re also welcome to make use of the owner’s garden nearby, which is home to a double swing seat and sun loungers for those sunny days.

You’ll find Park View Lodge just a fifteen minute drive from historic Barnstaple, and this bustling market town is packed with cafes, restaurants and shops. Pick up the Tarka Trail cycle route from Barnstaple train station (where you can also hire bikes), or head five miles to Instow Beach, where you’ll be able to sample the local seafood and friendly pubs.

Park View Lodge can only accept bookings over 7+ nights over the Christmas period
