Fantastic accommodation

We thought we would try North Devon for a change and were so glad we did, great location with dog friendly beaches just a short drive away. After a very long journey we were so pleased to arrive at the lodge, we were met by Linette and Ken who were very warm and welcoming. The lodge was spotlessly clean and had everything you could need for a home away from home. The welcome hamper of goodies was a great finishing touch it even included some treats for the dog. Although the weather wasn't great we found plenty to do and when the rain eased it was just a short drive to the beach. Staying in wasn't a hardship as the lodge was so comfortable. North Devon may not have the hustle and bustle of the English Rivera but it has a lot to offer and when we were there was no traffic issues driving around the area, Great places to visit, great pubs serving delicious food and what's not like about a Devon cream tea. Will definitely return

Lovely holiday

Park View Lodge was fantastic! Everything you could want or need was provided. Everything was such good quality. Hosts were very warm but not intrusive. The goody basket was a really lovely touch. We were amazed that we could be so close to the local town of Barnstaple but in the country. We would stay again in a heartbeat!

Booking and directions were all made easy for us. welcome and greeting was warm and well organised thank you ! our holiday got off to a great start. We loved our welcome pack and all the extra special touches. Accommodation was absolutely spotless, modern and well equipped. Lynnette & Ken are very very good hosts but do not intrude and we enjoyed the peace quiet and rest that we were looking forward to! Sallydog says 'woof' and thanks for the dog treats! Thank you both and we do look forward to coming soon.

Lovely, Lovely, Lovely!

Lovely, Lovely, Lovely! We absolutely loved this gorgeous place & Ellie did too! Stunning and very stylish. How lovely that you allow dogs here and I hope we left no signs that ours was here! Thank you so much for our provisions and Ellie's treats. We will have no hesitation in recommending your stunning property to our Friends & will be very happy to return. Just one thing, Can you pop a note on the massage chair saying "no men" I hated having to wait for hubby to get off!

A little gem in North Devon

The property is very well appointed with everything you could possibly need. We were worried that it took dogs, but the owner oversees/cleans the property, which certainly makes a difference. It was spotless! The welcome hamper was a lovely surprise and full of quality goodies! The property was very warm and cosy and the full sky package great for dark nights! The parking right outside the property was a real treat and the garden area/decking superb. Although it was November, we did manage to sit out and have a beer. We loved our holiday and will definitely return.

Wonderful accomodation

Having seen the photographs, we arrived at ParkView Lodge with pretty high expectations and were pleased to say that it was so much better than the photographs led us to believe! The owners met us on arrival and showed us how all the gadgets worked, there was a lovely little welcome pack on arrival which went down well :-) The accommodation cannot be faulted and the patio and garden area went down a treat especially with our dog! It is within walking distance of Barnstaple and an easy drive to a number of beaches including Instow which is a lovely little village. Would definitely return.

A fabulous getaway!

This is superb accommodation for two with immaculate decorations and facilities from a delightful bathroom, comfortable bedroom and living room to a fully fitted luxury kitchen. We cooked in most nights and, it being wintry still and even though the heating was perfectly adequate, three evenings we lit the wood-burning stove just to add atmosphere (and a little smoke!). We did turn the underfloor heating off at that point. Sky TV on tap with a DVD player built into the TV when we were in for the evening we had entertainment on tap. The location is actually rather handy - a quite and isolated lane but only 15 minutes walk to the centre of Barstaple with all the facilities there - and a really great position as a launchpad for exploring the delights of North Devon. The welcome and welcome pack from Lynette could not have been better. I have no hesitation in giving this a five star rating.

Lovely break in North Devon

We would like to thank Blue Chip and the Property owner (Lynette) for a lovely easy booking long weekend break in Barnstaple North Devon. The owners of Park View Lodge should be very proud of what use of space they have made of the property and the lovely little extra touches that make it even more special. The luxury welcome hamper was a really nice surprise too. We were pretty much left to our own devices but the owners were very close to hand if we did ever need anything. Thanks again Mr & Mrs Ford

Park View Lodge

Park View Lodge is a lovely place to stay for a break in North Devon. It is nice and modern with brilliant facilities and a real home from home. We received a warm welcome on our arrival and the hamper was very appreciated including the chocolate cake. There is a great garden which was perfect for the dogs to run round in although we were unable to use it as much as we would like due to the lovely British weather!
