ClovellyImagine a traditional North Devon fishing village and Clovelly will probably come to mind. This traffic-free, historic village is a Devon attraction in itself and has retained much of its original charm due to private ownership. Perched in a North Devon cliff, Clovelly is a picture-perfect village of cobbled streets, whitewashed cottages and a historic working port. The village has been owned by one family since 1738 , and a small entrance charge funds the maintenance of its buildings in the traditional styles – making a Clovelly a fascinating glimpse into North Devon’s past.

Babbacombe Model VillageBabbacombe, in Torquay, is home to a community in miniature, where a tiny version of the world exists on a hillside! One of the most charming family attractions in Devon, Babbacombe Model Village is a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the real world, and the miniature residents, villages and landmarks can’t fail to raise a laugh. Aside from the light-hearted models themselves, the attraction also includes a 4D theatre, an indoor exhibition with light effects and plays host to many year-round events for the whole family.
