Dartmouth MuseumDartmouth Museum can be found in the former home of a merchant, which dates back to around 1640. Britannia Royal Naval CollegeBritannia Royal Naval College overlooks Dartmouth from a hilltop, and has trained Royal Naval officers since 1905. Historical tours are available between Easter and October, and include the College and parade grounds, Quarterdeck, museum and much more. Tours are given by official Britannia guides and last for 2 hours, giving visitors a fascinating view of life in the Royal Navy and its history. Dartmouth Steam RailwayAll aboard the Dartmouth Steam Railway and River Boat Company! One of the most unique family attractions in Dartmouth and Kingswear, the steam railway and river boat combine to make a day’s sightseeing into a Devon adventure. The Round Robin trip is the most popular choice, and includes a journey by train, boat and bus. The nostalgic steam train travels 7 miles along the beautiful South Devon coast through the Dart Valley, before passengers can hop onto the Dartmouth passenger ferry at Kingswear. A scenic cruise along the River Dart can drop at Totnes where a bus operates to Paignton.
