Dartmouth Food FestivalThe Dartmouth Food Festival runs from 20 until 24 October, and is sure to tickle the taste buds of the many expected to visit this exciting Dartmouth event! This year’s festival will be the event’s second, and the programme is once again packed with celebrity chef demonstrations, food markets offering local produce, food sampling, special offers through the area’s eateries and much more. There will also be exciting competitions and plenty of activities for the little ones to enjoy. The festival is a great opportunity for the area to showcase its wide range of fresh, West Country produce, and attracts foodies from all over the region.

Annual Dartmouth RegattaThe 25 - 27 August see the ancient streets of Dartmouth fill with visitors from all over the world. The Dartmouth Regatta is famous for its dazzling air displays, rowing and sailing events, and many more family attractions. Sailing races are organised by the Royal Dart and Dartmouth Yacht Club and include entries from around the country. Dartmouth Regatta’s closing fireworks can be seen for miles around and are one of the event’s annual highlights. Pets are welcome at the Dartmouth Regatta. Although many additional passenger ferries operate during the regatta, queues from Kingswear can be lengthy, so it’s best to arrive early.

Dartmouth Farmer's MarketThe second Saturday of each month sees Dartmouth Farmer’s Market come to life, where farmers and producers from the region over gather in the historic port town to offer their produce. The Dartmouth Farmer’s Market is held at The Old Market, and is a great chance for those on self-catering holidays in the area to pop along and sample some of the local produce, as well as stock up on a few essentials for their time in Devon! There has been a regular market in Dartmouth for generations, and this tradition attracts visitors and locals with its friendly atmosphere and delicious fodder.

The Dartmouth Fishing FestivalThe Dartmouth Fishing Festival will be held from 2 to 4 October, and will include a wide range of fishing competitions. Competitions will be centred on shore, boat and wreck fishing, so anglers can select the best event for their fishing style and speciality over this fun three-day event. The Dartmouth Fishing Festival has proven popular in recent years, and is sure to attract anglers from miles around!
