A little gem!!

A friend recommended The Towans to us and we weren't disappointed at all. The lodge was spotless and milk and flowers were there for our arrival which was very thoughtful. We found it was equipped with everything we could have possibly wanted and it was very comfortable. Would definitely recommend!

Our week in Constantine Bay.

We have just recently returned from a fab relaxing break in Cornwall where we occupied a property in the Towans in St Merryn. We were blessed with wall to wall sunshine and had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday. Upon arrival we immediately felt very comfortable and relaxed. Our accommodation was well equipped and spotlessly clean and well sited for the nearby beaches and footpaths. The kitchen was kitted out very well with all the relevant accessories and albeit we ate out quite a lot when we did prepare food in the lodge we wanted for nothing. The only slight criticism i would make is that the bedding both quilts, pillows and the covers could have been a little better quality in order to equal the superb standard of the other contents inside the lodge. Despite this we would be very happy to return for future holidays to this beautiful part of the country and would not hesitate to recommend the Towans to friends and family.

1 The Towans

From the moment we spotted the property on the internet, we knew it was going to be a great place to stay. It suited our requirements perfectly as we have a small dog & we are pleased to say he loved it as much as we did. We will definitely be back.

Great Holiday Home!

We really enjoyed our recent stay at The Towans. The property was spotlessly clean, with everything we needed. The property had excellent space for clothes with plenty of lovely drawers, and a big dressing room alongside the main bedroom. Both bathrooms were bright and spacious with lovely showers. Being located close to Constantine Bay was a big draw for us, just a short drive down the road to the main car park, and within minutes we were on one of North Cornwall's best beaches. Whilst some reviewers have said it is walking distance, with 2 young children, a dog, and lots of beach equipment, surf boards, wetsuits, picnics etc, it is too far to walk for us and no pavements for some of the way. But it is only 2/3 minutes in the car. The other way, the property leads to the lovely village of St Merryn, with a good choice of restaurants and shops. There is a fantastic deli too, with amazing pastries, cakes, breads, and coffee. Our only criticism of the property and it's location, is that No 1 The Towans is very close to the road. So whilst there was a lovely decking area and small patch of grass, if you have a dog, they could easily get through the gaps in the hedge and straight onto the road. Equally, if you have toddlers, then the garden area is not completely safe as it is too close to the road. It is a shame that the only property at The Towans that accepts dogs, is the one closest to the road. If the decking area was enclosed with a gate at either end, then you could comfortably sit and relax without your dog being tied up. The views across the open countryside towards Harlyn Bay and Constantine Bay particularly at sunset were beautiful, The Towans do have a lovely spot!

Great Holiday

We thought the property looked good on the website but it was even better than we thought it would be. Number one the Towans is well equipped, comfortable and a home from home. The only negative is the slow broadband. It is a great base from which to travel around Cornwall. Padstow is only a few minutes drive away. The deli in St. Merryn is definitely worth a visit. Constantine Bay is a lovely place to go for a walk with the dog. All in all a great holiday. Take a long lead for your dog as this property borders the road.

Perfect home from home!

1 The Towans was the perfect home from home for us whilst on holiday in Cornwall this Easter. The lodge was clean, comfortable and well equipped. We really enjoyed the privacy of the (almost) wraparound veranda and the fact that it enjoyed sunshine from morning until sunset. The location of the lodge was great too, just a short walk from the beautiful Constantine Bay. The excellent Cornish Arms was also within an easy walk. All in all a great holiday! Thank you!

Perfect unwinding holiday

Everything at 1 The Towans was perfect from start to finish. On arrival there was fresh milk in the fridge and fresh flowers on the table. The accommodation is spacious, modern, well equipped and meticulously clean. Extra gates have been put on the decking to keep dogs in. We had fantastic weather and spent a few evenings outside with the barbecue blazing. This was perfect for us to unwind from our humdrum of working lives. Everything we needed was nearby - The Cornish Arms, which served wonderful food, Constantine Bay and ample local shops. We will find it hard to beat this gem!

The Towans, St Merryn

Fantastic holiday in a lovely lodge within walking distance of the coast. Beautiful beaches at Constantine and Harlyn and ideally placed for visits to Padstow and other National Trust beaches and houses. Will definitely return.

1 The Towans

This property was excellent it had every thing you needed although the oven and hob could be undated (which we found out was being done in 4 weeks). It was extremely comfortable. We liked it as it was very safe for our dog and grand daughter to play out side on the decking without being able to run off. Never seen so many plug sockets in any place I have ever stayed. Would recommend this property to any body. It is only a 15min walk to the beach which is excellent
