Description

Wheal Rashleigh Dry is a collection of barns sympathetically converted from an historic china clay drying house in the former mining town of St Blazey. The barns make an ideal base for visiting the Eden Project and the pretty fishing villages of Fowey and Polperro.

Internally, The Barrow provides spacious open plan living and is furnished to a high standard throughout. Externally, the barns benefit from large communal grounds.

The Barrow is ideally positioned for visiting The Eden Project, one of the most famous family attractions in Cornwall, with botanical gardens and a fantastic programme of theatre and music events. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are also close by and provide beautiful gardens to explore.

The largest town in Cornwall, St Austell, is a short drive away and boasts a lively community packed full of shops, bars and restaurants for all the family to enjoy. For a real taste of Cornwall the traditional fishing harbours of Polperro and Fowey are close by with fantastic fish restaurants to sample the catch of the day.

The Barrow, Wheal Rashleigh Dry

My husband and I were exceptionally pleased with our choice of accommodation. Awaiting us were Cornish fairings, mil, tea and coffee. The accommodation is so comfortable and has all of the amenities you could wish for and more besides. Excellent.

The property is of the highest standard and the owners are really helpful. It is close to so many major attractions and good eateries. Should have stayed twice as long - perhaps next time!

Accommodation spacious and clean, very comfortable and well equipped. Unlimited broadband was great for planning trips out. Very pleased, would recommend to friends and happily stay there again. All in all excellent. My sister was delighted.

Great for:

Our few days near St Austell

We stayed at the Barrow which is a lovely property very close to the Eden project and close to St Austell. The property is very clean and comfortable with a well appointed kitchen. The WiFi speed is also very good (a bonus if you need the internet). The owners are so friendly. They made us very welcome offering tips on where to eat, what to visit and where the supermarkets are. The fact that we did not have to book for 7 nights was great for us as we were looking for a 5 night break. The booking process was very easy and efficient. We would recommend Blue Chip Holidays and The Barrow to anyone looking for a break in that part of Cornwall Martin and Catherine
