The smell of home cooking’s going to be wafting from the Eden Project’s infamous biomes this autumn, as the attraction hosts its very own food festival throughout September. Yes, Eden celebrates all things foodie from the 10th to 27th September, so if you’re visiting this month check ahead to see which special events you can take part in while you’re there.
That means that aside from the usual attractions such as the rainforest canopy walk and the longest zipwire in the UK, you’ll also have the chance to sample local produce and come face to face with some of the biggest names in cooking. Some of our favourite celebrity chefs will be going along to demonstrate how to create culinary masterpieces from local produce (so local in fact that it’s grown at Eden), including Ken Hom, Aldo Zilli and Jean-Christophe Novelli.
Thinking of taking the kids along to get them all inspired about homegrown food? On 19th and 20th September there’s a foodie weekend especially put together for families, so expect Katy Ashworth from CBeebies and French cartoon chef Henri le Worm. All activities are included in the usual admission price.
