Polzeath Beach

Things To Do

Polzeath beach holidays are a favourite in Cornwall, and Polzeath Beach has a reputation as something of a surfing hotspot. While surfers flock to experience the huge Atlantic rollers, families seek out the safe, sandy beach to unwind during their holiday. There are lifeguards on duty throughout the day to keep an eye on those enjoying the waves, so this is a nice spot for bodyboarding or children to try their luck at the sports as well as the experienced surf set.

TripAdvisor welcomes a new review every day during summer as families vouch for Polzeath Beach's flat sands, pretty views and handy facilities. The car park is just £5 for the day and as it's right on the beach you couldn't really wish for a closer one to the sand.

This beach has all of the expected amenities for a convenient day by the sea, and it’s made all the more special by the unspoilt scenery that surrounds it. The sandy beach has room for everyone, no matter what your activity, and the beach also makes the starting point for the perfect walk. There's a surf school nearby if you fancy making the most of the waves, and most schools will have you in the water and standing on the board within just one or two lessons.
