Less than a 7 mile walk from Polperro, Lansallos is one of those unspoilt spots that hasn’t quite been discovered yet, and the stretch of coast path that connects the resorts is stunning. The walk between Polperro and Lansallos is a challenging stretch so it’s worth walking the inland route back to Polperro to make things easier for yourself (unless you’re very fit!). Don’t worry if you do opt for the shorter, inland journey back as it includes plenty of sights to keep you occupied along the way and makes a change after the coastal scenery of the outward walk from Polperro.
This section of the South West Coast Path comes so close to the edge of the cliffs in some places that you’ll need to take care if you’re not too keen on heights, but the views are incredible and it makes for an exhilarating walk. You’ll be able to spur yourself on with the promise of a cream tea when you reach Lansallos and if you need to cool down wander down to the sandy beach and cool your feet with a well-deserved paddle. This walk starts at Polperro’s Crumplehorn car park.
