If you think Polperro looks quaint then just wait until you see it in miniature…Polperro Model Village depicts the resort in all its charm and it’s the kind of attraction you’ll stumble upon and spend a very happy hour in. Tiny whitewashed cottages huddle around a miniature harbour (complete with water), and the detail of the models impresses grown up visitors as much as the model railway delights the little ones.
From the coloured boats in the harbour to the fishermen going about their business in the cobbled streets, the model village doesn’t miss a detail of life in Polperro so it’s a lovely attraction for visitors to experience. The attraction’s run by a friendly couple and if they’re quiet enough they’re often happy for children to return for another look at the models on the same day as visiting at no extra cost.
Step back in time in The Land of Legend, a section which depicts the many myths and legends that have made up Cornwall’s folklore for centuries (in miniature of course) and watch as the sound and lights animation brings the models to life. Lastly, what’s a model village without a model railway?! The railway chugs its way past typical villages, farms and dozens of little details carefully designed to delight all ages.
