Porth View, 9 Glendorgal May 2014

We had a lovely holiday in Newquay, and chose this property as it was the closest pet friendly accommodation we could find to the venue for a family wedding which was taking place, having previously booked through blue chip and stayed close to fistral beach. For the price we paid for this stay (which was on a par with where we stayed previously) this property lacked a certain something. The appliances in the kitchen, whilst all working perfectly were all budget appliances, the bed in the master bedroom was only either a double or 3/4 size bed although there was more than enough space for a king size. The property was advertised as having a garden, but the grass had not been cut, which was ok for our dog, but if holidaying with young children it could have been a problem. The bathrooms and bedrooms are all downstairs and we found a slightly damp smell when going downstairs and found slugs in the second bedroom/ bathroom a couple of times which we reported to the company responsible for cleaning/maintenance of the property. They had not had a previous report of this, so maybe we were just unlucky on that score. All in all we felt this was a fabulous property with exceptional views over Porth beach, which was let down by attention to small details.

Glendorgal Porth.

Myself and my family spent a lovely week here. The location was perfect, in a nice quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of the town but within easy reach of local facilities. Beautiful views over Porth Beach both day and night. Absolutely perfect. Will definitely be booking again.

Excellent holiday accommodation at 9 Glendorgal

This particular property was excellent with all usual facilities provided and views from Lounge balcony looking over Porth Bay and surrounding areas which were out of this world and a joy to wake up to, even on a dull day. Lovely walks on cliffs just around the corner overlooking the bay and Lusty Glaze Bay just a very short walk. Highly recommended!

PorthView 9 Glendorgal

The location of the house is perfect, the views are beautiful and the house has everything you need. The town is a nice short walk away and the cliff top walks are breathtaking. The best thing is that we could take our dog, most of the beaches are dog friendly and the restaurants are also. The views from the open plan dining room balcony were beautiful and to sit there in the morning sunshine was lovely. We had an amazing time and will definitely return. Many thanks

9 Glendorgal

We stayed at 9 Glendorgal from 5th to 12th August 2016. The property was spotless on arrival and had all the home comforts we needed. You don't park directly outside the accommodation, there's a main car park then a short path to the accommodation. The kitchen has everything you need, the showers were brilliant and the beds were comfy too. There's a short 5 minute walk to Lusty Glaze beach, then 130 steps down to the beach, this wasn't a problem for us and the reward is a super clean beautiful beach with fantastic surf, shop, bar, restaurant, equipment hire jet ski's etc. Dogs are ok on a lead here too. There's also a bit of a longer 10 minute walk to Porth Beach on the other side. The waves were not as good there, but the beach is clean and when the tide is out you can stroll over to the headland directly across. No Dogs allowed on this beach apparently but we never saw any signs to confirm that. A 20 minute walk will take you into Newquay centre, plenty of shops and bars etc. Make sure you visit Newquay harbour and see the Sea Lions following the fishing boats in then begging for handouts! My family (two adults, two children 16 and 14) loved it and we will be booking again for next summer.
