Things To Do

Hurrah! You’ve discovered one of Newquay’s most exciting family attractions, and there isn’t room on this page for us to tell you about everything there is to see and do at Newquay Zoo. It’s the wildest day out during a Cornwall holiday, and you’ll find yourself up close to African lions, playful penguins and creepy crawlies.

Take your time in the relaxing attraction and watch the penguins as they bask beside their pool, watch in awe as the big cats are fed and oooh and aaah at the cute red pandas – all in one day. You’re never too old for Newquay Zoo, but it’s a great day out for children thanks to activity trails, talks from the keepers and the children’s play area. There’s also face painting to make your little ones look just like their favourite animals.

The zoo is set in stunning sub tropical gardens, so it’s a lovely environment to spend a day in and a great family attraction. It’s easy to forget you’re on the north coast of Cornwall as there are animals from all corners of the globe, but Newquay Zoo’s friendly atmosphere is the kind you’ll only experience in the South West!

Picnics are welcome, and the Cafe Lemur often treats visitors to summer barbeques, so you can sit back and watch the lemurs play nearby while you eat. Most of the food in the cafe is locally sourced, offering visitors a true taste of the West Country during their day out. Newquay Zoo is dedicated to conservation issues around the world, and you’ll be supporting its efforts by visiting Newquay’s leading day out.
