Description

Ocean View is an apartment situated above a large detached house, ideal for couples and families with young children. The property is situated on the cliff side overlooking the beach in the picturesque village of Mawgan Porth and benefits from a balcony to enjoy the stunning view.

Mawgan Porth has a small supermarket/deli for essentials, a newsagent, surf store and surf school. Nearby there is also a farm that sells free range eggs, meat, vegetables, cakes and bread. In terms of food and drink, there is a family friendly pub with large beer garden and play area and a family friendly bistro serving locally caught fish, burgers and pizzas. Not to forget The Scarlet restaurant, headed up by Michelin award winning chef, just down the road.

Ocean View is in an ideal location just a short walk down the cliff path to Mawgan Porth’s family friendly beach. The beach has plenty of rock pools to explore and sand dunes, whilst the dramatic cliffs provide a picturesque backdrop. Mawgan Porth beach is also great for surfing with lifeguards present from May to September.

The property is set just off the South West coastal path, along which you can walk to Watergate Bay or towards Padstow. Watergate Bay is on the one side, home to Jaime Oliver’s Fifteen restaurant and the stunning Bedruthan Steps are on the other, an area of outstanding natural beauty.

The centre of Newquay is a 15 minute drive from the property and has many attractions, shops, cafes, restaurants and bars/nightclubs. For those looking to leave the car at home, Newquay airport is less than 10 minutes away by taxi, and there is plenty to see and do on foot.

Ocean View

I stayed here and had a super time. The apartment is very well appointed, and has a balcony with views of Mawgan Porth beach. I also saw some beautiful sunsets as the flat looks out to the horizon to the West too.

Ocean View

Ocean View is finished to a very high good quality fixtures, fittings and soft furnishing and is very well equipped. The free WIFI was a bonus. Superb views, and excellent location and a friendly, welcoming manager - would highly recommend!

Ocean View

Beautifully presented modern apartment with fabulous views over Mawgan Porth bay, between Padstow and Newquay. Restaurant, pub, shops and beach 5 minutes walk away downhill in the village. 2 minutes to the South West Coast path and bus stop at the end of the lane. Great place to stay for surfing or lazy days on the beach or for visiting further afield. Fantastic to come back after a hard days sightseeing and sit on the balcony with a bottle of wine and watch the sun go down! Bliss!

Fabulous View and Lovely Little Apartment!

Myself, my husband and two children have just got back form a week's stay at the fabulous Ocean View in Mawgan Porth. The apartment was lovely - all on one level, which was good, very clean and contemporary, with everything we wanted. The jewel in its crown is definitely the view from the decked balcony - what a fabulous experience to wake up to the sea and sand every morning! There is a short (but steep) path across the road which takes you right down to the beach, which was perfect (except you had to walk back up it!) but a small price to pay for such a wonderful location. There are a few shops and cafes in the tiny village down below, which provide all your daily essentials and lots of pubs and restaurants within a short drive away. Definitely would recommend for a great family holiday base!

Ocean view, Mawgan Porth,Cornwall

My family and I enjoyed a lovely week at ocean view in Mawgan Porth, right from the outset the management of the property were very welcoming and helpful, organising a cot for our 6 month old before we arrived. The apartment was very clean and had all the things we needed for the week. The view is amazing, and the balcony is The perfect place to watch the waves rolling in under a beautiful sunset. The beach is only a 5 minute walk and there is a local shop and pub and cafe within walking distance near to the beach. The Bedruthen steps are worth a viewing too only 20 mins walk along the coastal path. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

Great views, lovely time

We enjoyed our holiday stay at Ocean View. The view of the beach and sea are wonderful! Great location for walking along the coastal paths. It is a bit of an hike back up from the beach and there are a set of stairs up to the flat. The flat is well equipped and very clean.

Definitely an ocean view!

A perfect apartment and location for a coastal break. Wonderful sitting on the balcony watching the waves. Good facilities at the apartment and in the village with lots to do in the surrounding area. Really helpful owners for a hassle free holiday.
