Swallow Cottage

My family and I had a wonderful time at Swallow cottage in Looe. We would recommend the property and area to anyone who is interested. We would use Blue Chip Holidays again for their service and help, and are thinking of booking another holiday with them in the future. Many thanks Blue Chip.

Swallow Cottage

To the Staff at Blue Chip Holidays, Just a note to say we had the best time at Swallow Cottage in Looe. We had already left for our holiday and did not get your email re key collection until we returned but we were very fortunate to meet our hosts Mary & Dennis Turley at the cottage. The cottage was perfect with everything supplied including a whole lot of little extras to make our stay more pleasant. We found Mary & Dennis most welcoming and friendly and left with exchanging email addresses with promises of keeping in touch. And thank you for your prompt attention when we were organizing the cottage accommodation. Your instructions on how to get there were excellent and we arrived without incident

Swallow Cottage

It's a long time since we've had a holiday in England and we could not have found a better one than this for the money everything was there even toothpicks. The rooms were lovely and clean the towels were soft just how they should be. The garden and patio again were very good. Next time please could we have a bit of sun.

Swallow Cottage

I decided back in Oct to take my wife away for our first anniversary, we both love Cornwall and having used Blue Chip before I knew we would not be disappointed. When I first viewed Swallow Cottage I was very impressed with the whole web advert. I wanted somewhere nice and quiet and it was also Pet friendly. On arriving we were met By Dennis and Mary Thurley who made us feel at home straight away. The whole week was superb, the cottage looked just it did on the web page even in the winter the garden and grounds looked cared for and the property was a delight. Everyone we met was so friendly and helpful, quiet, idyllic, beautifully kept and maintained it was just what we both wanted. I would recommend this cottage to anyone who wants a stress free relaxing holiday. In the summer it must be stunning. We have every intention of returning Thank you Dennis and Mary for a wonderfully presented cottage and for the lovely time we had. Absolutely marvelous.

Swallow Cottage

It was a busy time, with Spring break for many - that meant the local coastal towns were full. This cottage in the hills above Looe was quiet, restful and well appointed. As travellers from Australia, it was such a different space.

Swallow Cottage

We had such a lovely time at Swallow Cottage. On arrival to find fresh farm eggs to our teenage daughter been able to bring her laptop. The scenery around the cottage is stunning and the paddock was really nice to let the children run around in. Overall we could not give anything negative to say as from the booking process to arrival was everything you hope for in a holiday. The only thing we didn't like as a family was the fact we had to come home!! We are already planning our next visit! Thank you for a lovely holiday. James, Zoe, Georgia (15), Amelia (3), Elizabeth (12 weeks) and not forgetting Snoop dog (who has cried for the past two days!)

Swallow Cottage

The cottage was very easy to find and in an amazing setting. Very very clean and homely. Central to where we were going. It was a good size for the four of us. Would highly recommend going here.

Swallow Cottage - Looe, Cornwall

We couldn't have wished for a better 10 days! Lots of sunshine, great places to visit - that is if you could drag yourself away from the lovely Swallow Cottage and garden. We just about managed it for a few hours on some days but again they were few and far between. The ground floor bedroom and walk-in shower greatly helped as we had an elderly relative with us and the proximity to the outside space meant she could spend a great deal of time enjoying the wonderful weather and views. The cottage was well equipped and nothing left wanting. Our Yorkshire terrier especially loved his new role (although thankfully limited by the fence,) as a sheep dog! All in all a wonderful break and we will certainly be booking again soon. Many thanks to Mary and Dennis for providing such a wonderful retreat and allowing us to extend for the extra days.

Really lovely cottage, excellent facilities

The cottage was the best we've stayed in, (with many years experience of self catering in this country), with everything thought of to make your stay as good as possible. There were touches in the cottage that made you feel very welcome - little things like tea, coffee, eggs, bread and milk provided for your arrival, dishwasher tablets, pegs etc. The cottage was very clean, beds extremely comfortable. Any required information (linen, towels included, key location etc.) sent out promptly in clear emails. I couldn't think of a single negative thing to say about the whole experience - booking process or the accommodation, and I would definitely book with Blue Chip again - we had a great holiday.

Swallow Cottage, Nr Looe

Everything you needed was in the cottage, dishwasher, washing machine and cooking equipment. A little of the beaten track but we'll worth it!! Fantastic garden and the girls played for hours on the swings and feeding the sheep through the fence, two shower rooms (one en suite and one wet room), A warm welcome from Dennis and Mary (we were a little early) who explained local places to visit and things to see etc, a much appreciated gift of fresh milk, eggs and cookies was awaiting for us (even the kettle was freshly boiled) We will be booking again for sure Many thanks

Swallow Cottage

Lovely cottage, fully equipped and set in beautiful surroundings. We enjoyed our stay, but would say even though it is disabled friendly there is a steep path to the property. The cottage had everything we wanted and along with the garden, provided a good base for us and the dog.

Cornish Heaven

We were looking for accommodation suitable for ourselves and our elderly parent and came across Swallow cottage. The cottage is in a quiet and peaceful location with countryside views. The cottage has excellent facilities which catered for all of us. The cottage is a credit to Mary & Dennis who are the owners and would fully recommend to anyone. We are definitely going to rebook.

Accommodation was great - in particular the upstairs bedroom with en-suite felt quite luxurious - more compact downstairs, but had everything you could need as well as biscuit treats on arrival! Lovely and very peaceful surroundings - garden great for children and dog who loved chasing rabbits. Ideally placed for visits to the monkey sanctuary and a short drive into Looe and Polperro (which was very picturesque). Even managed a couple of visits to Fistral beach at Newquay for body boarding - about an hours drive away. Great base for many places - Eden Project, Bedruthan steps, Bodmin, if you don't mind driving and narrow lanes.

Cosy Cottege in Lovely Location

Swallows cottege was clean comfortable and cosy. The garden was lovely with wonderful views across the countryside. Just a short drive from Looe and Polperro but with great walks from the door.
