Just along from the main East Looe Beach, you’ll find a smaller stretch of sand known as the Second Beach. If you’re keen on an active beach holiday in Looe you’ll probably find yourself here at some point, as it’s perfect for snorkelling and fishing and there’s always something new to try your hand at.
Large numbers of Bass swim close to the shore along this beach, so it’s a favourite with Bass fishers as the tide comes in. Also, it’s possible to walk along Second Beach to nearby Plaidy Beach during low tide, so for a beach walk with beautiful views bear this one in mine. Make sure you look out for a school of Mullet as you pass the sandy patch around half way along the shore, as they’re usually seen there by walkers.
