Porfell Wildlife Park and Sanctuary

Things To Do

If you’re looking for a fun and educational day out that the whole family will love, the Porfell Wildlife Park and Sanctuary will definitely impress. This charitable wildlife park is the home to over 250 animals from around the world and offers an experience quite different from a zoo as you can walk around the woods and get up close to the many animals.

The animals that you will get to meet at the park include monkeys, zebra and meerkats, amongst many others. There is even special reptile house which is home to a range of snakes, bearded dragons, monitor lizards and giant leopard tortoises from East Africa. For an extra special experience during your visit, make sure you book yourself into the owl flying lessons.

You’ll be able to get really close to these amazing birds, learn how they hunt, make your own flying equipment and experience the thrill of the owls landing on your arm.  Alternatively, why not book the Lemur’s Tea Party? Sit with these beautiful endangered creatures and feed them by hand.

If you’ve had time to see all of the fascinating animals at the park, make sure you take full advantage of all that the park has to offer. Wonder through the lovely woodland walks, take the little ones to the children’s farm and petting zoo, stop for lunch at the café and buy a souvenir at the gift shop.
