Martins Rest

My husband and I stayed at Martins rest at lainebank cottages for 4 nights for a well needed rest. We were met at the entrance by the lovely Diane, who, having had a little trouble getting there was incredibly helpful and patient over the phone when we got lost. Diane showed us around the cottage, where everything was kept and had even left us some homemade scones, jam, clotted cream and some milk. Having been impressed by the lovely pictures on the Blue Chip holiday website we were not disappointed. Martins rest is well laid out, comfortable, spotlessly clean and the owners had thought of all the little details that would make our stay relaxing and easy. We did not want to leave and would love to return.

Martins Rest

A wonderful holiday home ,lovely hosts for whom nothing was too much trouble , cream teas on arrival and lovely Blue chicken eggs. The location was excellent for touring all of West Devon and East Cornwall. We could not have asked for anything better , even to the two local farm shops, with the most amazing choices of food and drink and just about anything else you could think of!

New Year in Cornwall

We recently spent a wonderful few days at Martin's Rest in Launceston on the border of Devon and Cornwall. The owners were lovely and there to welcome us with mulled wine and scones with cream and jam. The cottage was decorated with a Christmas tree and lights and decorations in the living room and kitchen, which the kids loved. The property was spotless, comfy and very relaxing. We had everything we needed for a lovely New Year stay. Even though the weather wasn't great we got out every day to visit lots of great places in Devon and Cornwall and we would happily stay there again.
