Holiday at Stonerush Lakes

This was our 20th wedding anniversary and i researched a lot on the internet to find something romantic and special. Stonerush Lakes filled all of that. It was absolutely stunning. The Lodge had everything and was done at a very high spec and so comfortable. The location of the Lodge was beautiful and so very private as were all the Lodges. Very well done. The area was magnificent and we just loved the wildlife. This is a very special place that we will definitely come back to and bring friends. We enjoyed the break so much that it is the only holiday where we did not actually want to leave.

Dont think, just book.

I stayed at 9 Watersedge with my partner for 7 nights. In my (slightly bias) opinion, it was the best situated lodge in the whole of Stonerush. The sound of the stream on one side, the full view of the lake, total privacy, total tranquillity. The lodge is better than the photos in the brochure, the decking was so much bigger than expected, beautiful bright and airy inside. What more could you need! We are 'regular lodgers' having a UK break 2-3 times a year, and I am picky to say the least! But this lodge is the most outstanding accommodation we have ever stayed in! Its just such a pity its a four hour drive from home else we would no doubt be there every weekend possible! If it was for sale we would snap it up in an instant! Don't think, just book! You wont regret it!

9 watersedge, stonerush lakes.

Booking with blue chip over the phone was such an easy and friendly experience. On arrival we were delighted with the peace and tranquility and the lodge far exceeded expectations - the decor was lovely and homely, and the kitchen had everything you'd ever need - from tins and tupperware for picnics, to thermos flasks and welcome tea/coffee and even a pint of milk in the fridge!! The lodge was perfectly clean and well presented, and the decking overlooked the length of the lake, and lots of wildlife to watch go by from the luxury of the hot tub!! Squirrels, geese, ducks and jumping fish!! Would HIGHLY recommend, and hope to return with our children!!

9 Watersedge

The holiday accommodation and location was exactly as described on the website. The lodge was in a very secluded, private location with stunning views across the lake. The wildlife was in abundance, various birds to include geese with their three cute, fluffy babies! My partner was keen to fish and the fishing met all his expectations. The accommodation was spotless inside, however the wooden furniture in the decking was covered in bird mess so we had to clean two of the chairs and the table before we could use them. The windows could have down with a clean on the outside too. The lodge was equipped to a very high standard. We holiday 6 times a year in similar properties, mainly in Cornwall or Devon and sometimes in Wales, all being 5* plus lodges or cottages. If I had to make any suggestions / constructive feedback / comments, it would be the following: If there is a log burner then the first supply of logs, fire lighters etc should be included and information as to where you can buy further supplies from would have been useful. A welcome pack to include specialities from the area would be a nice touch - in Dorset we found Dorset Luxury Muesli and Homemade Bread for breakfast. In Wales we found welsh Cakes and fresh coffee. In Padstow in February we found Luxury biscuits and a quality bottle of red wine. In St Ives at Easter we found Cream Teas. And a small fresh bottle of milk is always found in the fridge. This is not a complaint but merely a positive suggestion to make people's stays a little more of an enjoyable and memorable experience. As we both work in education we a lucky to have several holidays a year and always book luxury accommodation for which we are more than happy to pay reasonable high rental figures but expect those extra touches which make it luxury experience.

Tranquillity at an affordable price

A truly relaxing break with just nature to keep you company. Ideal for a busy day taking in the local attractions, knowing that you can sink blissfully into the hot tub and reflect on your travels. The lodge is equipped to a high specification and The Old Mill is worth a visit for either a take away or restaurant meal. Waking up to lakeside view and enjoying the tame animal visitors is priceless. Fabulous and thank you!

Best British holiday ever

Needed somewhere to relax as we lead very busy lifestyles, Stonerush lodges gave us all that and more. Amazingly peaceful and quiet. Loved getting up in the morning to see the heron outside my bedroom window and the kingfishers on the lake, entertained every day with two playful squirrels on the veranda. The lodge was extremely well equipped and cleaned to the highest standard, well spaced out and un-overlooked. Polite and very friendly staff in the Mill resturant. The lodge was in easy reach of some lovely coves, and the Eden project. All in all this was a fantastic holiday and I will return very soon .

Amazing week

This place is a hidden gem, it's everything you need for a relaxing holiday. You wake up to the birds and go to bed with the brightest of stars. The added luxury of a hot tub was the best way to unwind. It was great and will be recommending to my family and friends.

Perfect retreat

We spent a week at Number 9 in Stonerush Lakes this summer and had a heavenly time. The lodge itself was fantastic, we had everything we needed and couldn't fault the facilities - beautifully clean and very welcoming. The hot tub and deck became our favourite places - perfect for watching the idyllic wildlife come and go! The Old Mill, the on site pub and restaurant was lovely and while we didn't eat there ourselves we enjoyed a few drinks on the deck next to the lake. For us, the peace and tranquility were just what we needed, but you are never more than an hour away from places like Padstow, Newquay and much less for Polperro and Fowey. To sum up, we had a wonderful time and would highly recommend the lodges at Stonerush Lakes!

Most relaxing holiday ever

Our short break at Stonerush Lakes in 9 waters edge was a quiet, relaxing time. The lodge was beautiful, very well appointed and had everything you could possibly need.the view from the hot tub over the water was was forever changing and you got swept away for hours just watching the birds and fish. The lodge was incredibly private and very quiet. The staff at the Mill were very friendly and polite, they were very professional but at the same time treated you like an old friend . The meal we had there was excellent and reasonably priced. This is the 3rd time we have been to Stonerush Lakes and we will be back soon.

Maximum relaxation

We have stayed at Stonerush Lakes 3 years previously and return year after year. It's such a stunning location. It was our first time in W9 and really is a tranquil little spot. Cannot recommend this lodge enough. The owners have really thought about the little details which just make it the perfect holiday get away.
