Excellent short break

Having finding this place online. I can highly recommend a short break there. The lodges are very nice and clean and there is plenty of places to visit.

Very relaxing time away

We were looking for a break away from it and and completely stumbled across these luxury lodges in Cornwall. We have two little ones and they loved the hot tub. The lodge was stunning. Be aware there is no phone signal in the valley at all but there is wi-fi in most of the lodges so this didn't bother us as we had access to email and the usual messengers to talk to people. The wi-fi is brilliant not your usually slow load up speed that we have had on so many resorts we have stayed one. One thing I will say is do not follow your satnav to this place as we ended up going on a magical mystery tour and ended up next to a field as our final destination. I would use the coordinates they supply and tap this into the satnav instead. The grounds around the lodge are stunning also. No park or play area though. Just pure complete relaxation. We went to a couple of the beaches in Cornwall, Polzeath being the best one the kids loved the sea and sand there. That is around 50 minutes away. Stonerush is in the middle of nowhere and the nearest town is about 20 minutes drive away. We all definitely came back refreshed. The lodge itself has dishwasher, microwave, oven, washing machine and lovely bathrooms. Everything you could ask for. My only slight critique with the lodge is that the sofas could do with upgrading as they were really scratched not quite what you expect in a luxury lodge. And there is no light outside the back of the lodge which was a pain especially when you are trying to put the hot tub cover on in the pitch black dark and cutting my foot on a rogue screw sticking up out of the decking. But overall this didn't effect our time away and we will be returning with family hopefully at some point later in the year.

Great for:

Tranquility and relaxation with great location!

The lodge is all of what we expected. We were looking for somewhere which had main home comforts but allowed us to get away from our every day working lives. The setting was very peaceful, in amongst naturally wooded area and ponds. We enjoyed going for lovely countryside walks in the area. Only 30 mins from Eden Project and even less to other picturesque villages such as Looe, Fowey, and Polperro. Lodge itself was very clean, contemporary design and the hot tub was so very welcoming after a day out!
