Kingsand Beach

Kingsand Beach

Things To Do

If you like your beaches simple then you’ll probably love Kingsand Beach. It has striking views out to Plymouth Sound, it’s sandy and there’s parking nearby – and if you kust enjoy sitting somewhere pretty and enjoying the sand then you’ll have a brilliant time at this spot on Cornwall’s coast.

Kingsand beach holidays are ideal for family fun, and particularly dog friendly beach holidays in Kingsand since the beach welcomes dogs throughout the year. Yes your pet’s free to chase sticks, swim and rest whenever it suits you and all owners know that can make a huge difference.

The beach is a mixture of sand and shingle, and it’s popular with swimmers, but please be aware that there aren’t lifeguards on hand at this one as it’s quieter than many of Cornwall’s larger beaches. Kingsand beach isn’t far from the village, so there are toilets, cafes and amenities nearby should you need them throughout the day.

Parking’s another thing that can be priceless on a day to the coast, and there’s plenty of parking close to the beach. Before you start packing the bags though, we should probably mention that the beach is reached via some steps!

Like its neighbour Cawsand Beach, Kingsand is east-facing and enjoys shelter from Picklecombe Point and Rame Head in either direction.
