Tunnel Beach and Castle Beach connect into one long beach at low tide, and Tunnel Beach is sheltered by the sea wall - making it a good choice during beach holidays in Falmouth.
This isn't an ideal beach for young families as it's pretty rocky, but if you've got older children who like exploring or you fancy a wander amongst the rock pools then it's a pretty place to visit and it has that unspoilt beauty that sets Cornwall's beaches apart from others.
Tunnel Beach can be reached via a small tunnel from the promenade (hence its name), and as it all but vanished at high tide it’s not as popular as the others nearby. Also, you’ll need to walk to Castle Beach to use the toilet and cafe facilities.
