Great Location - Excellent Apartment

Charlestown is an excellent base for the Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Helligan which were the main purpose of our visit. Charlestown itself was well served with Pub (Rashleigh Arms) and Restaurant (Wreckers) both of which were pleasant and attentive, meeting our specific Gluten Free requirements. The apartment was pretty much as advertised online. The pictures did it justice and were accurate. The kitchen was well equipped and the dining area and lounge were a home from home. The bedrooms(s) were comfy and the en suite well kitted out with usual supplies of shampoos and soaps. The welcome pack of scones and clotted cream was very welcome and set the scene for a very pleasant stay.

The Waterwheel Apartment

The apartment is very clean and comfortable. There was a very warm welcome upon arrival from Sue and Mark who made us feel at home. The apartment is filled with so many surprises in every corner to find and enjoy. The children enjoyed the Playstation, Swingball and the board games. We had a fantastic holiday even though it was one of the coldest Easters on record! The central location makes it an ideal base to tour Cornwall. We would recommend this apartment to everyone as it has so much more than what the website mentions.

Great apartment, great location

Spent a week at Waterwheel apartment. Lovely welcome pack upon arrival. The apartment was perfect and in a great location. Kids loved crabbing and fishing off the harbour. Decent food in the local pubs. Good location for exploring other parts of Cornwall too. Recommend Polkerris beach.

The Waterwheel Apartment

We had a lovely holiday at the Waterwheel Apartment in Charlestown. It has everything in the apartment you would ever need; I took hot water bottles as we went in October, but Sue the owner had even thought of that. It was warm and cozy and great to have a dedicated parking space. It was so nice after a long journey to find that we had been left a Cornish cream tea (scones, jam, Cornish clotted cream), biscuits, cider, even milk, tea, coffee etc. and fresh flowers. It was so easy to just walk to the village to restaurants. And the Eden Project and various gardens were easy to drive too. Overall, a superb place to stay, would definitely return.

The Waterwheel Apartment

This property is in an excellent position for exploring Cornwall, as well as being in a beautiful part of St Austell within easy reach of two supermarkets, and good restaurants close by. The owners, Sue and Mark, have worked hard to ensure that the apartment is equipped to the highest standard, including wifi and memory foam mattress beds which guarantee a good nights sleep. The apartment is new, as is all the equipment and furnishings. Sue gave us a thought welcome with warm cornish pasties on our arrival, a cream tea, local cider, along with tea, coffee, biscuits and flowers. We have no hesitation in recommending No.1 as a luxurious holiday home.

The Waterwheel Apartment

Everything about the apartment was excellent - it was modern, spacious, clean and very well equipped. The owners could not have been more helpful. As importantly it is an excellent base for seeing Cornwall, or in our case, being close to some excellent golf courses. Highly recommended.

The Waterwheel Apartment

Best and cleanest holiday apartment we have stayed in. You have thought of everything, had a lovely holiday. We really appreciated all of the information you left which we found very useful. Your apartment is a credit to you. Have brought the grandchildren this time but we will be back on our own soon. Thank you very much for the lovely welcome gifts.

The Waterwheel Apartment

Blue Chip Holidays made booking for our holiday in Charlestown quite painless. Answered all of our questions, gave assistance when needed (currency conversions), and had great communication. Our apartment was lovely, and we hope to stay there again.

The Waterwheel Apartment

The waterwheel apartment is a new development and located at an easy to reach spot. You have your own parking space which is quite convenient. Traveling to other sightseeing sights is good. You have easy access to the A30 which is one of the main road

The Waterwheel Apartment

Everything about our holiday was a delight. The apartment was fabulous and we would fully recommend it to anyone, it was perfect for our family and we are already thinking about booking it up for next year. A real home from home and central to all we wanted to visit. The apartment had everything and more that we needed, when you see accomodation photos on websites you are always hoping that it looks as nice in real life as it does on the computer, this apartment definitely does, in fact it was even better than what we expected. Cornwall is a beautiful county and we have enjoyed exploring. Land's End is worth a visit. The children had a great day there. This was our first visit to Cornwall and we had a lovely time, no one wanted to go home on Saturday! Thank you and we hope to return next year.

The Waterwheel Apartment

We had a fabulous time in Cornwall and really enjoyed our stay at the Waterwheel Apartment. We found everything we wanted in the apartment and really appreciated all the welcoming touches too. We particularly liked your apartment compared with similar ones we've stayed in before in the area as it was far more family orientated with the 2 single beds in the second bedroom, the larger TV screen, the fantastic boxes of toys & games (we spent one evening with a Chinese takeaway and all did the British Isles jigsaw!) we enjoyed having more space outside on the patio area etc. and we would definitely recommend it to our friends and family and also hope to come back again ourselves sometime soon. As busy parents with young children we also really appreciated all the little luxuries too of having our own ensuite bedroom, Christy towels, TV, comfy sofa, dishwasher etc. all helps to make a holiday special and much better than all being cooped up in one room if we had stayed at a hotel. Thanks too for all the eating out tips too - we tried Sam's in Fowey, the local Chinese in Charlestown (we had a takeaway), Rick Stein's Fish & Chips in Padstow, The Hut on the Beach at Watergate Bay, and lots of other little coffee shops and tea rooms. A particular favourite in Charlestown was Charlie's Boathouse where we wandered down most mornings after breakfast - they did a lovely vanilla latte sitting on the comfy seats and strawberry milkshakes for the children with homemade cakes & cookies. On the last morning, once we had loaded the car, we went down for a walk on the beach and then to Charlie's Boathouse for brunch before starting our journey home. The weather was very kind to us and we even managed a couple of days sitting on the beach in our T shirts, in February, in the sunshine - sipping coffee while the children played in the sand & rock pools. All in all a lovely time.

The Waterwheel Apartment

My husband and I have just spent two weeks at the Waterwheel Apartment and can honestly say it's the best self catering accommodation we have ever stayed in. What a joy each day to return to such a lovely, clean, comfortable and well equipped apartment. Situated in an ideal location for exploring this part of Cornwall. A lot of thought has gone into this holiday apartment by the owners to make it a holiday to remember. We will definitely recommend it to family and friends, and hope to return again ourselves in the future.

The Waterwheel Apartment

We have just spent two weeks here at this fabulous apartment, so lovely each day to come back to such a clean, comfortable and well equipped apartment. Our holiday has been great, love this part of Cornwall, our favourite places have been Charlestown of course, Mevagissey, Polperro and our visits to Porthpean Beach. Thank you Sue and Mark for making our holiday a very happy one, it was lovely to meet you Sue and thank you for the Cornish goodies.

The Waterwheel Apartment

This is the second blue chip stay. The apartment is very nice and the owner are amount the best thoughtful people to provide holiday accommodation. We don't normally go back to the same place but this one maybe an exception.
