Let’s face it, the rugged coastline that surrounds Tintagel is so breathtaking that it’s a shame to stop looking at it even for a meal, and The Port William Inn is located so close to Trebarwith Strand that you won’t have to. Low tide reveals a gleaming stretch of golden sand, and whether you pull up a chair in the bar or choose to sit in the conservatory area to dine you’ll have an uninterrupted view of the setting.
The inn sits at the foot of the cliffs, and summer sees its outside terrace bustling with holidaymakers keen to make the most of the north Cornwall coastline. The beach is a popular surfing spot, so Port William fills with surfers fresh from the waves during the season, and as the area is home to some gorgeous walks it’s also a great place to stop off and regroup before walking on.
Trebarwith Strand is a dog friendly beach all year round, and as dogs are as welcome in the inn as they are out on the sand this is a lovely place to visit during a dog friendly holiday. The inn has a friendly feel to it, and for many it’s just a welcoming place to sit back and watch the waves outside.
