From the houses, to the boats in the harbour...every part of the village is adorned with moving and picturesque Christmas lights, drawing people from all over the South West. UK Stand UP Paddle Surfing ChampionshipsWatergate Bay Beach near Newquay is one of the most important UK beaches to the surfing world, and in October 2013 it will host the UK Stand Up Paddle Surfing Championships! This event takes place on 6 October when the surf should be just right for the big battle, and all are welcome to head to the sand and enjoy the fun. The only thing to note about this Cornwall event is that, as the surf and weather are beyond the organiser’s control, a lack of waves can result in the date being moved at short notice.
