Dog Friendly Bude WalksIf you decide to dedicate a day heading to one of the dog friendly Bude attractions, you may find yourselves in the mood for a bracing walk the next day to stretch everybody’s legs! The Bude Canal dates back to the 1820s and was once used to transport sea sand inland for use by farmers to fertilise their soil. Today, the first 2 miles of the canal between Bude and Helebridge are popular with ownsers as they make for a great dog friendly Bude walk. The flat paths make this perfect for a family walk, and you’ll pass your share of boats and fishermen as you go!

Dog Friendly Bude AttractionsThe best dog-friendly attractions in Bude are its welcoming and dramatic beaches, but if you fancy some family days out exploring then Pencarrow house and gardens in Bodmin, is just under an hour’s drive. Pencarrow House has over 50 acres of formal gardens and country woodland that welcomes dogs off the lead. Also near Bideford, The Milky Way Adventure Park welcomes dogs throughout as long as they remain on their leads. Lastly, Cornwall’s Crealy in Wadebridge welcomes dogs along for the fun at the small charge of 60p per day. |
Dog Friendly Pubs in BudeBude has some of the most welcoming dog friendly pubs and restaurants in Cornwall The Bay View Inn overlooks Widemouth Bay, and is one of the nicest dog friendly Bude pubs – it’s also perfect for a refreshing rest after a visit to the dog friendly beach itself! The Bay View Inn has a spacey beer garden and serves real ales and great food. The selection of dog-friendly pubs and restaurants also includes The Brendon Arms, the Coombe Barton Inn and The Bush Inn. Urchins Bistro and The Castle Restaurant in Bude are also dog friendly.

Dog Friendly Bude BeachesBude is famous for its beautiful, rugged beaches and they just happen to be the perfect playground for dogs. Dog friendly holidays in Bude have the advantage of some of the country’s most scenic sands, and your dog can have the run of many of them all year round. The south side of Widemouth Bay, known as Black Rock Beach, is dog-friendly. Milbook Beach is one of the most interesting dog friendly Bude beaches. Its zigzag cliff has made it famous with geologists and watches forebodingly over the pebbly beach below. Also, although this isn’t the best beach for bathing or surfing, you are likely to see seals and dolphins amongst the wildlife nearby.
