Beach Holidays in Bude
Crooklets Beach holds a Blue Flag and its Atlantic rollers make it great for surfers of all levels, as it boasts a variety of waves. Close to Bude’s town centre, this beach attracts many visitors enjoying all kinds of Bude holiday and is particularly popular with families and those chasing the surf. Dogs are not permitted on Crooklets beach between Easter and October, and the beach is lifeguarded during the summer, so it is an ideal beach for children to enjoy. Crooklets also has a beach bar, close toilets, a car park and showers – it is also close to the town centre where there are many shops and cafes.
Summerleaze is a pet-friendly beach popular with kite surfers, although there is plenty of space to relax without being disturbed. There is a large car park close to the beach and it has toilet facilities, a cafe and lifeguards – making it a good choice for those on family holidays in Bude. For those who don’t fancy venturing into the sea, the beach’s tidal swimming pool is free of charge and is a fun alternative to the open waters.
