Does your dog love to discover new places and wander quiet canals? Not only are the canals of the Brecon Beacons National Park perfect for a dog-friendly holiday, but they now mean you can compete for Canal Dog of the Year.

Brecon Beacons Holiday Cottages If you’re thinking of a holiday in this stunning corner of Wales, just take a photo of your pooch enjoying the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal and enter it into the competition.

Each month, the dog with the most online votes will be announced in the Brecon & Radnor Express, as well as being entered for the title of ‘Canal Dog of the Year 2012’.

When ITV’s This Morning did a feature on Britain’s best dog walks at the weekend they focused on Dorset’s Jurassic coastline.

Dorset Holiday Cottages Former Eastenders star Joe Swash swaggered his way from Durdle Door to Lulworth Cove, enjoying the breathtaking scenery that dates back 200 million years!

Durdle Door is one of the most photographed natural landmarks in Britain, and it’s easy to see why this is one of the country’s busiest stretches of coastline.
