Blue Chip Vacations made the change to Blue Chip Holidays this week after months of deliberation and preparation. The company will continue to provide luxury holiday cottages and accommodation throughout the UK’s most beautiful counties, including Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Wales, Dorset and the Isle of Wight.

Blue Chip Holidays will launch its brand new website this week, with a stylish new design and easy-to-use search tools to help visitors choose their perfect luxury self-catering holiday.

Plymouth’s skies will be ablaze on 10th and 11th August as the city hosts the Plymouth Firework Championships from Plymouth Hoe.

Six of the UK’s finest firework companies will set the sky alight as they compete to win the championships, creating a spectacular event for those on Plymouth holidays on 10th and 11th August this year.

The displays will start around 9.30pm each evening, and there will be entertainment – including a fairground – on Plymouth Hoe.  

The winner of June’s writing competition is Stephanie Sawyer from Oxford who stayed at High Gables and booked a trip on the Round Robin tour to Paignton, Dartmouth and Totnes.

Torbay, on the English Riviera, will see its sheltered waters come alive with activity for the Torbay Sailing Regatta in August. The annual Torbay Sailing Week will take place between Friday 20th and Wednesday 25th August.

The fun-filled regatta will include many events and activities throughout Torbay - in Torquay, Paignton and Brixham – so those on well-timed Torbay holidays will be treated to various displays and spectacles!

Torbay’s excellent conditions for sailing make it the perfect location for the annual regatta, and those who prefer to enjoy the festivities from dry land will have plenty of opportunity to watch the thrilling races from various locations throughout the Bay.

Blue Chip will be getting behind its very own Iron Man, Jon Pressling, who will be tackling one of the meanest and most challenging Triathlon courses in the UK, if not the world.

Jon, a member of South Devon Athletic Club, will be raising money for the RNLI when he undertakes UK Ironman 70.3 next month on Exmoor.  Blue Chip Holidays has pledged to contribute 25p for every booking made in June guaranteeing a minimum contribution of £300 towards the charity.

Blue Chip Holidays is offering holidaymakers worried about flight cancellations over the next month an extended 20 per cent discount across its entire portfolio through to 04 June!

The special offer includes 20 per cent off stays at Manor House, near Torquay, which sleeps ten.  Having only recently been cut in price by £470 per week, the combined discount comes to a saving of £725 for a seven night stay from 21-28 May, (now just £105 per person).
