Let’s face it, we don’t need asking twice to take on a challenge here at Blue Chip, and if it’s for charity so much the better.

We’ve got our own team of Mo-Bros working hard to grow a moustache each throughout November, and they’re doing it all to raise funds for prostate cancer awareness.

There’s some serious facial hair in our Exeter office at the moment, and more than a little competition!

After achieving our Green Tourism Gold status we were determined to continue our efforts for the environment, and what better place to do our bit than in beautiful Cornwall?

We’re teamed up with the Cornwall Wildlife Trust to support them in their conservation of Cornwall’s wildlife and wilderness, and we hope to keep it just as it is for years to come.

Whilst we’re on the subject, what’s your favourite wild spot in Cornwall?

The Sunday Times counted down its 50 favourite cool cottages in the travel section yesterday, and number 3 was none other than our very own cosy Cornwall cottages, Old Lanwarnick!

The popular hamlet includes 5 Fowey holiday cottages which date back 1,000 years and is surrounded by 34 acres of meadow, so it’s no surprise Old Lanwarnick has been picked out with the cream of the cottage crop.

As well as its beautiful surroundings near Fowey, a small town in the south of Cornwall, Old Lanwarnick also boasts stables, a small gym and it welcomes dogs along too.  

Some of our finest properties are enjoying some extra publicity today as they've been picked up by The Times!

A piece on the St Ives tradition the hurling of the silver ball includes details of several propeties from the Blue Chip Holidays portfolio in Cornwall.

The Oceanis apartments have been singled out for their closeness to St Ives' stunning harbour, and The Times agree that this listed building amidst traditional fishermen's cottages is the perfect St Ives holiday cottage during a stay in the Cornish town. 

Congratulations to the winner of our December writing competition, Sally Parker from Bristol!

Sally was inspired by her stay in Newquay last June with Blue Chip Holidays, click here to read her winning article. 

Sally's efforts won her a £50 Marks and Spencer voucher, and she will be entered into the overall winners' competition at the end of 2011, although it feels a long way off at the moment!

The impressive expansion of Blue Chip Holidays has continued further this week, as the Exeter office of the company welcomed four new employees!

The new recruits include two new additions to the Development Team and two to the Offline Marketing Team. Tim Greenwood and Dave Ashenden have joined the team of developers in Exeter, and Rossi Mireshan and Katy de Looze have joined the Offline Marketing Team - also in the Exeter office.

Blue Chip Holidays looks forward to moving forward with the new starters on board, and the future continues to look bright for the luxury self-catering holidays provider! 

This year’s Newsroom’s Got Talent contest and auction raised £60,000 – and Blue Chip Holidays is proud to have helped with two donations!

The event’s total doubled last year’s and was thanks to auction donations such as Blue Chip’s, a live talent contest by famous news teams from around the country and a performance from Chesney Hawkes.

Blue Chip Holidays donated two lots to the charity auction in aid of Leonard Chesire Disability, Helen & Douglas House Hospice and SANE.

Listen up all followers, because as part of its new re-brand, Blue Chip Vacations has become Blue Chip Holidays!

This not only means a new-look website, but also a brand new Facebook page under new name Blue Chip Holidays.
