Cornwall’s largest St Piran's Day celebration takes place on 05 March, close to the charming town of Perranporth, where thousands dressed in black, white and gold will march across the dunes to St Piran's Cross. The colourful flag-bearing pilgrimage culminates in a traditional play on the beach re-enacting the life of St Piran, the Patron Saint of Tinners, starting at 2pm.
Sand Castles, a modern stone-clad beach-side house that sleeps eight, is just a few steps from Perranporth Beach where the celebrations will take place. It is available for three nights or more from £509 (£63 per person) through Blue Chip Holidays.
Guests staying at Sand Castles can enjoy the three miles of soft golden sand where dogs are welcome year round. The house has been beautifully finished throughout and has four bedrooms. It has its own log burner, a 40” flat screen TV with Sky Plus and a Blu Ray DVD player. It even has an outdoor shower and patio area for sandy kids or surfing guests tempted by the local churning surf.If you fancy a break in cosy Cornwall, take a look at the great selection of luxury holiday homes we offer!
