Posted by kelly in EventsDartmouthAttractions

Dartmouth’s 6th Comedy Festival is back in slapstick style from 6-10 March featuring among others Jenny Eclair, Mark Steel and Miles Jupp in a series of sketches and shows over the five days of this hilarious hoedown.

All tickets for the Festival can be purchased online at www.theflavel.org.uk

Mark Steel

The raucous entertainment starts at the Flavel on Tuesday 6th March at 8pm with Mark Steel’s extraordinary explanation of exactly why he’s here to save civilisiation!  Based on his award winning BBC radio 4 series, his celebration of the quirks of small-town life is set to be a sell out. Tickets cost £12.50 and need to be booked in advance.

On 7th March one of the festival’s favourite evenings takes place with a tribute to one of Comedy’s Greats.  As always the identity of the comedy colossus will remain a secret until the evening itself when the mystery man or woman reveals themselves to the audience. Previous years’ guests have included Eddie Izzard, Harry Enfield and Keith Allen. The evening centres around a comedy film night.  Tickets cost £9 and include a glass of wine.

Jenny Eclair

On 8th March at 8pm Jenny Eclair takes centre stage with her show Old Dog New Tricks.  Show goers are warned to expect a Lady Gaga tribute and plenty of shaggy dog tales from this Queen of comedy as she celebrates and pokes fun at her 50 years on this planet. Tickets cost £16 and need to be booked in advance.

Friday 9th March is filled with the Slightly Fat Features, the smash-hit comedy cabaret ensemble whose show is packed with unique circus tricksters, original live music, magical moments and spontaneous madness. Tickets cost £10, Under 18's £5, Family (2+2) £25.

Miles Jupp

On Saturday 10th Miles Jupp performs his hilarious one man show, Fibber in the Heat, about Miles’s attempt to become a cricket journalist.  He was good enough to fool the TMS team and on the night he’ll unveil his side-splitting, ill –thought out and dishonest attempts to get himself on a cricket tour to India. The whopping fibs come thick and fast as this critically acclaimed show hits comedy boundary after comedy boundary. Tickets cost £14.
