The sandy town of Perranporth in Cornwall will come into its own on Monday 5 March, as the traditional St Pirans Day procession takes place.
The procession sees the St Piran’s Trust act out the tale of the patron saint of tinners, who is believed to have been washed up from Ireland in the fifth century.
A huge crowd will follow the actors, many of them dressed in Cornwall’s colours of black, gold and white.
The procession will cross the scenic dunes to St Piran’s Cross, and the story of the saint will be acted out in three parts by actors and musicians.
Don’t miss this unique Cornish event!
