With Christmas just around the corner many of you will be thinking about that dream kitchen you’ve never quite given up on. You know, the one with the double AGA, the shiny tiles and the country views from the window that all in all, make cooking for the family a pleasure. Well, if you’re going to have to wait another year until you finally get the kitchen for yourself then here are some of our prettiest, dreamiest kitchens to keep you going.
The kitchen at Mowhay Barn in Cornwall could be straight from a page of Country Living. With the dining table sitting in the centre ready for the family to take their seats, the kitchen’s not only enormous but it’s also home to little touches like a Butler sink, a delightfully big wine rack, and the wooden beams above give it the feel of a country farmhouse kitchen.
If you didn’t catch Stowford Manor on the Great Interior Design Challenge then prepared to be impressed. This listed Devon manor house has everything from a log burner (complete with logs) to a beautiful breakfast bar at its centre. Bold, bright and contemporary, the kitchen’s just as striking as the rest of the property, and it’s easy to see why it was runner up on the show.
Imagine a kitchen with floor to ceiling windows and country views at every turn, and that’s the gorgeous one you’ll find at The Chapel in the heart of the Somerset countryside. Doors lead out onto the patio so you can take a breath of air while you’re cooking, the gleaming purple island makes the whole kitchen appear so chic you’ll wish your friends back home could see and the double electric oven means it’s easy to whip up a storm for the whole clan.
For those of you who saw the word AGA and aren’t going to be happy without one, Nimrod on the Isle of Wight’s home to a classic double range AGA that’ll have foodies amongst you reaching for your recipe books. It also has a door that leads out onto the peaceful terrace, slate tiles on the floor and a Samsung American fridge freezer and (wait for it...) wine fridge…perfect.
