Turns out we’re all Craving Cornwall on Pinterest

It's official - we love Cornwall on Pinterest

If you’re anything like me you still find Pinterest just a little bit addictive…one minute you log in for a quick browse and before you know it you’re creating yet another board of travel ideas and an hour’s gone by, and I’m not at all surprised to let you all know that it turns out Cornwall’s one of UK pinners’ most sought-after travel destinations.

With more miles of sandy beach than you can shake a towel at and the kind of views that have walkers reaching for their camera phones at every turn, it’s easy to see why Cornwall’s worked its pretty way into the hearts of us all on Pinterest, and it’s official - the UK’s most pinned travel pin was ‘Craving Cornwall’…well, aren’t we all.

The nation’s weekly dose of Poldark on Sunday evenings may have something to do with the surge of Pinterest dreamers checking out pics of the county, and one of the reasons we fell in love with the series (aside from the obvious…) was to while away an hour looking at Cornwall looking all dramatic and beautiful in the background.

If you’ve never been then trust us, it really is that spectacular. You don’t even have to venture far into the county before you look around and realise you’re somewhere that feels a world away from the rest of the country…we’re talking clear seas and white sand, moors that blaze with yellow heather and sunrises that could have been made to wow the Pinterest brigade.

So, when the guys at Pinterest revealed their list of top pins and searches from the year and Craving Cornwall came out on top, I promised myself I’ll take advantage of living closeish to the county and explore more of it throughout 2016, see you there?
