I stayed for a July weekend break at 12 Seaford Sands in Paignton, which is very close to Goodrington. I was excited to be given the chance to have a weekend break at 12 Seaford Sands, as I love to go Paignton as it’s a lovely seaside town with lots of things to do.
I arrived at the apartment on the Friday evening and fell in love with it; it was modern and newly furnished. There were sea views from the master bedroom and the dining area. The apartment was well ventilated and the beds were comfy. Better still, 12 Seaford Sands was in an ideal location as it was walking distance to Goodrington beach, the town centre and local attractions such as Quay West and Paignton Zoo.
The Friday evening rolled around and the weather was sunny and bright. I went for an evening stroll down to Goodrington, which was only a few minutes’ walk away. I walked through Goodrington Park to the sea front and took in the sea views.
After a good night’s sleep, on the Saturday I went for a walk to Paignton town centre which is fifteen minutes’ walk away. I explored the shops and headed to Paignton seafront and relaxed on the sandy beach. The sea front was busy and full of activity, there were several restaurants, a fun fair and Paignton Pier with amusements.
On the Saturday afternoon, myself and a friend headed to Goodrington and had afternoon lunch at The Inn on The Quay which is located by the seafront. There was plenty of outside and inside seating, and the menu had a good choice. For those of you who were wondering what I opted for, I had sweet potato and feta lasagne which I have to say was very nice.
On the Saturday evening, I headed to nearby Torquay which is only a couple miles away and easily accessible via bus or train. I enjoyed a cocktail with Blue Chip’s Content Manager Kelly at one of the seafront bars and then headed back to 12 Seaford Sands to spend a relaxing evening in.
When Sunday dawned, I headed home and wished I could have stayed for longer. I would definitely recommend 12 Seaford Sands to others. Click here to find out more...
