Lundy IslandJust two hours sailing time from Bideford, Lundy Island is a fascinating offshore landmark with a surprise around every corner! A natural fortress, this isolated island combines a dramatic history with beautiful views, unspoilt wildlife and its very own lighthouses, a medieval castle and welcoming tavern. Lundy Island is just three miles long and half a mile wide, the perfect outdoor Bideford family attraction. Explore this isolated world and keep your eyes peeled for the puffins, seals and ponies. Baggy PointJust nine miles outside of the town, Baggy Point is an all-natural Bideford family attraction. One of North Devon’s most famous beauty spots, Baggy Point can be found between Woolacombe and Morte, and is a fantastic vantage point for taking in the surrounding views. The site is popular with climbers due to its steep faces, and the nearby fields are a great place to enjoy a picnic while you take in the views. Visitors can follow a path right to the point. If you fancy a walk, the South West Coast Path passes right through the area and leads to many coves and bays!

The Milky Way Adventure ParkAnother Bideford family attraction, The Milky Way Adventure Park, is a thrilling day out for the whole family! Children will have a day that’s out of this world at The Milky Way Adventure Park, with the fastest rollercoaster in Devon – Cosmic Typhoon, an enormous indoor play area, regular live entertainment and much more they won’t want to leave. If your children are smaller, Toddler Town is the place to head. This special section of the park makes sure the tots have fun too, and includes a miniature train, fantasy farm, a caterpillar rollercoaster and play areas. The Burton Art Gallery and Museum is one of the South West’s leading cultural attractions and displays extensive collections and regular exhibitions. The Burton Art Gallery’s craft gallery is one of its highlights, and includes examples of the area’s finest craftworks. The craft gallery displays inspiring jewellery, pottery, metalwork, ceramics and textiles – all the handiwork of local crafts people.
